Welcome to the Memorial School ML (Multilingual Learner) Program!

Our multilingual learners are developing proficiency in multiple languages and have

so much to offer from their rich and diverse experiences.

We look forward to celebrating all of our languages, diversity and culture. 

We love teaching and learning from each other. 

ACCESS for ELLs 2023 test results have been shared with teachers and families.

Congratulations to our students that have improved their language proficiency skills in English. I will be meeting with all of our new students for screening/testing before classes begin in a few weeks.

We welcome our continuing multilingual learners back this year.

Our ESL program is always growing and changing. We have students from the United States, Korea, China, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Colombia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Russia, India, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and more.  

 

We focus on improving our listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. We study grammar, vocabulary, spelling, phonics, syntax, idioms, culture, traditions and holidays.
